About

Why Cupboard Love?

Our story starts with the love I have for my furry friend, Floyd, my Border Collie or “Border Wally” as he has often been called.

I helped Floyd find his forever home at the age of 9. He was found as a stray in the highlands of Scotland. It’s believed he was a working dog that was too old to work anymore. As he has grown older, now nearly 17, his health is starting to suffer. I wanted to help him have the best life he possibly can.

As a chef I am fascinated with food and the benefits it can bring us.  I set about seeing if food could help Floyd as much as it helps me.  I have a holistic approach and very much believe in natural unprocessed (clean) ingredients and the benefits they have.  To get a quality product you must use quality ingredients.

Having been a pastry chef for over 20 years I used my knowledge of baking and my love for Floyd to create some tasty biscuits that would help with his health.  There have been many trials, Floyd took to his new job as chief taster very well.   Watching over the oven to make sure everything was going correctly.  He loves to share his biscuits with his friends at the park and hopefully get some of theirs (Floyd is very good at sniffing out who has treats).   Showing anyone with them affection.
It’s Cupboard Love is all about love and affection.  The love that goes into the products and the affection that is given in return for them.  I love hearing and seeing photos from people showing how excited their dog gets when they see or smell the biscuits.  As a chef my greatest pleasure comes from seeing others enjoying my work, the number of legs doesn’t matter.
